Committees are the backbones of successful Main Street programs. They provide a structured framework that allows volunteers throughout the community to become actively involved in the downtown revitalization process.

• The Organization Committee communicates the vision, philosophy and activities of Main St. Waterbury to the community through membership and partnership development and a communications program.
• The Design Committee improves the appearance of downtown Waterbury so that it is perceived as clean, safe and friendly while preserving its historic appeal.
• The Promotion Committee markets Downtown Waterbury's unique characteristics to shoppers, investors, new businesses, tourists, and others while promoting retail events, special events and ongoing programs.
• The Economic Restructuring Committee strengthens the economic base in Downtown Waterbury by helping existing businesses to expand, recruiting new businesses for a balanced mix, and converting unused space into productive property.
