Brass City Brew Fest
A festive offering of local and international artisan beers, beer-friendly foods and music presented in Waterbury’s Library Park
Downtown Draw
A judged chalk drawing event held on the Green with segments open to students and adults alike
Summer Concerts on the Green
A presentation of local musical talent – bands of various genres, renowned and new, celebrating summer in the heart of the City
Pole Banners
Fabric banners erected on poles in prominent downtown locations welcoming visitors to our City with style and flair -- featuring the names of sponsoring companies and organizations
Holiday Lighting
Seasonal lighting purchased with donations made by various supportive companies and used to festively decorate the downtown area for the winter celebrations
Brass Buttons Event Calendar
A bi-monthly flyer that announces events that will be held in Waterbury’s Downtown is distributed to a number of locations where the public will readily find copies
Adopt-a-Planter
Planters are located throughout downtown and provide color and flair to business areas and traffic medians -- Various interested companies, organizations and individuals take responsibility for caring for these to keep them looking attractive
12 Month Date Calendar
Main Street Waterbury’s Promotions Committee sponsors an annual display calendar featuring photographs of Waterbury’s historic buildings, monuments and artifacts -- it is available for purchase during the holiday season
Mardi Gross
An annual Halloween activity sponsored by the Downtown Business Merchants -- attracts up to 4000 revelers to the Downtown business district each year -- Main Street Waterbury has been a partner in spreading the word about this unique offering and provides candy to be distributed to the children who participate

Main Street Waterbury’s newest Web site features all you need to know about parking in downtown Waterbury. The MSW Promotions Committee, the Mayor’s Office and the Waterbury Parking Authority developed it as a joint effort assisted by a grant from the CT Main Street Center
Façade Improvement Program
Waterbury Development Corporation and MSW worked together to restructure the process for granting Façade Improvement funds. WDC is administering the funds that have come to Waterbury from a Community Development Block Grant. In 2009, building owners will rehab the facades of 7 downtown buildings
Holiday Window Decor Contest
During the winter holidays Main Street Waterbury's Design Committee encourages downtown business and building owners to dress-up their windows and join a friendly competition. The committee reviews each window decor to select, announce and celebrate the winning entry. At the same time all the competitors enjoy having their designs make the windows more attractive and the holiday atmoshere more festive.
Downtown Ambassadors
In 2005 the newly established MSW Downtown Ambassadors helped theater goers enjoy the newly refurbished Palace Theater. They were a notable presence then and continue to be a welcome addition to downtown events now. Volunteer high school students dressed in top hats and white gloves greet visitors, distribute materials and generally make people feel welcome and at home
